On the first Monday of every month, members of the local Meads community gather round for a proper sit-down lunch. This is the Meads Hall Lunch Club – and it has become a highlight of the month for many regular guests.
For just £6, guests are treated to a full three course home cooked meal – starter, mains, and pudding. Every dish is made with care by people who simply want to give something back to Meads.
The menu changes each month, but the team spirit of the volunteers behind it stays the same.
What makes the Lunch Club special isn’t just the food – it’s the people behind it. The entire team plan, shop, cook, serve, and clear away afterwards give their time completely for free. It’s run by volunteers who believe a shared meal can bring people together and build a real sense of community.
If you live locally and haven’t been along to the Meads Hall Lunch Club, the first Monday of next month is the perfect time to try it. It’s a small event with a simple message, everyone deserves a good meal and good company – and in Meads, that’s exactly what’s on the table.
