Robert Smart
Trustee and Chairman
Robert Smart and his wife moved to Meads in Eastbourne in 2014 and he has immersed himself in Eastbourne life: as a Meads Councillor and as a member of many clubs and organisations. Following qualification as a Chartered Accountant, he has enjoyed an extensive international business career in Hong Kong, the Middle East and USA as well as the UK and Europe. In recent years he has contributed to voluntary organisations. Prior to his appointment as a Trustee, he had negotiated the acquisition for the community of the nearby Meads Village Allotments.
Annalisa Bicknell
Trustee and Treasurer
Recently moved to Eastbourne, Annalisa Bicknell has lived and worked across the world. A senior executive in international finance for many years, she’s experienced in generating new revenue streams, brand development and change management. More recently, she founded a property group creating a sustainable long term growth business. Annalisa has been an active contributor and board member of several voluntary groups and charities in the UK, Belgium, USA and Nigeria.
Helen Wallace
Trustee and Secretary
Originally from Sheffield, Helen moved to London where she spent time working at the House of Commons and then worked for 23 years at an International Financial Institution based in London. Where she worked in the Infrastructure Department dealing with administration and finance. Following early retirement she moved to Eastbourne with her husband, who grew up in Eastbourne. In her spare time she has been involved in the renovation of several properties.
Kirstie Commins
Hall Manager
Although Kirstie went to school in Eastbourne, it was not until 2009 that she moved here. She worked in London for a large hotel chain in the corporate sales office, organising corporate and client events in the UK and abroad and was also involved in the development of a customised computer programme to assist the sales office. Since moving to Eastbourne Kirstie has been a volunteer for various local charities, organisations and community events and is the Membership Secretary of the MCA.
Daniel Huff
Premises Manager
Daniel has been in Eastbourne with his wife and young family for the last 9 years and can be normally found hill walking up on the Downs in all weathers or swimming in the sea especially at high tide.
He has spent his career working in Alternative Energy such as Hydrogen Fuel Cells, Battery Storage or more recently Electric Vehicle Charging.
